My theory on why the TARDIS both hates and loves Clara.
Clara is a reminder to the TARDIS that The Doctor almost didn’t choose her. That’s why she hates Clara, because she doesn’t want to admit it and tries to forget it. But she also realizes that without Clara, the Doctor might not have stolen her all those years ago.
This is you, Clara. Everything you were or will be. You blew into the world on this leaf.

Now for those of you who didn’t get it, he is between the 8th and the 9th he’s not replacing either of them, he’s the gap in between, during the time war when the doctor was not “The Doctor” he doesn’t count as one because he acted completely different, but he is still one of his past regenerations.
